LSM-100 is a new mouse designed by LG. But this is no ordinary mouse. The creative designers at LG have added a very powerful scanning feature in the mouse… cool, right? The mouse is of ordinary size and shape and has nothing extraordinary about its weight. But somehow the LG geniuses have managed to cramp a full-fledged scanner into it.
This mouse, LSM-100, has two buttons and a wheel. But the real fun lies in the Smart Scan button. This button is present on the left side of the mouse. The scanning process is very simple. Just hold the Smart Scan button and move it over the object you want to scan.
LSM-100 has been equipped with LG’s OCR or Optical Character Recognition technology. This piece of technology helps the mouse to scan objects of sizes up to A3 and recognize scanned text and change it to editable Microsoft Word document. Other than that LSM-100 can save files in several other formats such as:
- PNG
- JPEG
- TIFF
- BMP
- XLS
This new scanner-mouse from LG will be properly introduced in the market at this year’s IFA trade show in Berlin, Sept. 2 to 7. The price and availability are unknown at this point
