Skype Improved On All Desktop Platforms

Despite of all fears that Skype will become Windows only product and there will be no major releases for Mac or Linux, the new version of Skype is released for all platforms including Windows, Mac and Linux. The Linux users finally got beta free version. The new version is focused to improve contact lists and video calls on all major desktop platforms.

It is really nice to an update for Linux users who were not updated for long period of time and the previous Skype experience on Linux was crappy and very old.

Windows users will see an improved video calling and contact management also now windows users will have same contact list for all Facebook and Skype contacts.

Linux users will not have many of the new features but the video quality and software looks are much more improved which is what all Linux users were asking for a long period of time.

Mac users will get completely redesigned contacts windows for good user experience and also calling to mobile phones is improved now when your partner on mobile device rotates its display, it will also rotate display on your mac so you don’t have tilted video of your partner.
